Winter Maternity Session | Reno/Tahoe Lifestyle Photographer

What do you do when its cold as heck as you want to photograph a friend's "sassy maternity" session? Head into the Nevada Museum of Art during a Sunday afternoon! This gorgeous Mama is also a photographer and has such a creative eye for new locations. When she suggested the museum I was excited and relieved we didn't have to deal with cold weather. And as many of you know, I just love photographing my beautiful friend.

The past year there has been a trend of photographers being creative in unusual locations such as Lowe's and Michaels Craft stores. I am inspired by the behind the scenes shots and the "straight out of the camera" (SOOC) images that are posted. It goes to show that depth of field (DOF), angles, framing AND creative editing result in special and beautiful images. I know that an art museum isn't AS unusual as a hardware store, but I thought it would still be fun to share some of the SOOC & behind the scene shots of Melissa's maternity session.
