From First Conference to Expanding the Team: A Full-Circle Moment
Ten years ago, I attended my very first photography conference—ImagingUSA. I had just taken the leap into full-time photography, and I was eager to grow, learn, and figure out where I fit in this creative world. At the time, I thought my path would be all about families, newborns, and maternity sessions. Little did I know that just a year later, my move to California would steer me toward a specialty I love—event photography.
I was joined by Torie and Cassie, two photographers who have now become a huge part of my journey.
Torie was a new neighbor in Roswell, Georgia. We met when I saw her attempting to take a family photo with a tripod—a challenge when you have a little one!
Cassie and I go way back to 8th-grade science class in Brandon, Florida, and inspired me to get into photography.
